I had met and done work for one the co-owners of this company years prior to actually working on the identity of Kandy Kruiser so a rapport had already been established between us. When it came to developing the brand for their skate company, they wanted me to draw inspiration from from various candy packages from movie theaters as well as traditional skate culture. Keeping this in mind, I wanted to design a logo and other assets that were playful enough to satisfy the confection side of the company but not make it too far removed from its skating inspiration.
